ELELEI was born in 2020 from the collaboration between the artists, Sabrina Gargano (Barletta, Italy) and Rafa Jagat (Valencia), with the idea of being able to combine dance and theatre and create a single disciplinary language.

ELELEI was born in 2019 from the collaboration between artists Sabrina Gargano and Rafa Jagat. They are united by the idea of bringing together their respective backgrounds in dance and theatre, combining everything into one shared disciplinary language.

Motivated by the desire to tell stories and to question the "why" of things—while making them accessible to the audience—their first work, A CIEGAS, was created in 2020. The piece premiered for the first time at Abril en Danza 2021 (Alicante).

In January 2021, they created the physical theatre film MAY YOU LISTEN?, as part of the training program for Jasmin Vardimon's junior company JV2 in the UK. In February 2022, they collaborated again with the JV2 dancers on a new piece titled MARATHON, which premiered in May.

In May 2022, they premiered the solo SOY MADERA, co-produced by the Imaginarius Festival in Santa Maria da Feira, choreographed by Sabrina and directed by Rafa. Their third creation, TOO MUCH, was premiered in March 2024 as part of the Dansa Metropolitana festival and was co-produced by the festival itself.
